To impeach a President in the House the Constitution requires 2/3 rds majority. I added the 232 + 196 then multiplied by 66% that gave me better than 361. If the Republicans stick together and oppose impeachment then the 2/3rds will never happen. On Friday morning, President Donald Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale revealed just how much money President Trump’s campaign was able to pull in after the Democrat controlled House of Representatives voted in favor of setting the grounds for the impeachment inquiry into the President. “Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment resolution day turned into a MASSIVE fundraising day for @realDonaldTrump,” Parscale said. He then revealed that the campaign was able to raise $3 million in one day which brought their total online donations for October to $19 million.
The vote did indeed backfire considering Pelosi was unable to gain bipartisan support which shows how strong Republicans are standing with President Trump. Not a single Republican voted in favor of the impeachment inquiry and even a couple Democrats voted against it.Check out what the Daily Caller reported:Democratic Reps. Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey and Colin Peterson of Minnesota voted against the resolution, while Independent Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan supported the measure.
Trump’s campaign often uses flashpoint news events to raise money. The campaign sold 55,000 packs of plastic straws, netting over $823,000 in sales, whereas campaign officials sold about $50,000 worth of fine point markers, campaign communication director Tim Murtaugh told reporters in September. If the impeachment proceedings were to make it to the Senate, 67 senators would have to vote in favor of impeachment. With a majority Republican senate, this is very unlikely.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham recently spoke out on the ongoing impeachment inquiry, stating that not a single Republican in the Senate would vote to impeach the President.
You have to accept that President Trump is president,” Graham said on Tuesday during an interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News.“That’s the problem. They don’t accept that President Trump won the election, and America hates a sore loser as much as any country on the planet.
This is an unfair process being driven by sore losers and there is not one vote in the United States Senate to impeach President Trump based on this phone call because he did nothing wrong,” he added.Graham quickly corrected himself saying that not a single vote “among Republicans” would vote for impeachment in the Senate.
On Tuesday morning Republican Rep. Jim Jordan sang a similar tune as Graham, stating that he expects Republicans to stick together against the bogus impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
We the people see what’s going on here. The Dems will stop at nothing to try and smear our great President! I am a proud supporter of President Trump!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸TRUMP 2020🇺🇸🇺🇸
